Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Review

by The Nerd Card

Few characters are more iconic or revered than daredevil archaeologist Indiana Jones, and we certainly love our Indy here at The Nerd Card. But we’ve come a long way since Raiders of the Lost Ark, and one has to wonder if tacking a fifth movie onto the end of the long-running franchise is maybe, just maybe, a bridge too far.

While the Dial of Destiny has managed to gross $368 million globally so far, with $170 million from domestic audiences and $198 million from international audiences, it’s sure to be a studio disappointment when compared to its substantial $300 million budget. Especially, when this latest addition to the franchise feels a whole lot more like a last-ditch money grab than an effort to entertain the masses.
