Black Adam: Review and Breakdown – Phil and Chuck tackle the latest film in the DCEU and ponder a question on the minds of many… does this represent a power shift for DC, with a new era of movies, or does it fall hopelessly short?

Black Adam centers around a god-like ancient human who is bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods in a time of darkness and enslavement, but is subsequently defeated and imprisoned. Adam is freed from his earthly tomb after nearly 5000 years, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world. But he soon clashes with the Justice Society of America, a group of superheroes who deem him to be a threat and attempt to re-imprison him.

While we went into Black Adam with a healthy dose of skepticism, we were pleasantly surprised. But does it represent the desperately needed DCEU reboot everyone’s been looking for? You’re just going to have to push play and come along with Phil and Chuck to find out!
