Never was that more on display than with Blink, the tenth episode of the third series. Based on an earlier short story by writer Steven Moffat, Blink introduces the Weeping Angels and is arguably the best episode of Doctor Who ever created.
The first episode of Doctor Who aired on November 23, 1963. As of May 2023, there have been a total of 39 seasons and 871 episodes, making it the longest-running sci-fi show ever. Even after 50 years, Doctor Who is still going strong. It reboots itself every few years with a new Doctor to an ever-growing fan base, so it could conceivably keep going for many years to come.
